Best of luck to Michael Ranaghan in 5th Year who is representing Ireland in the European Powerlifting Championships this weekend in Varteras, Sweden. In Powerlifting, each athlete partakes in the Squat, Bench and Deadlift, with three attempts respectively. He will be in the 83kg Sub-Junior Class, where he will be competing against individuals from Czechia, Britain, Ukraine, Italy and Belgium. Representing his country has been a goal of Michael's since he started Powerlifting in 2019. In particular, he hopes to break the Irish 83kg Sub-Junior Deadlift record.
