Classical Studies is suitable for students of all interests and abilities and encourages creativity along with critical thinking in order to achieve the learning outcomes of the course. Literacy levels are also an important focus of the Classical Studies department where pupils of all abilities are encouraged to improve on their reading and written expression throughout the three years.

The syllabus consists of four strands; Mythology, the World of Achilles, Daily Life, and Rome, Centre of an Empire- a diverse course where students can enjoy various aspects of the classical world.
