Student Exchange: Spain
Living the Language: Spanish Exchange Programme
Immerse Yourself in Spanish Language, Culture, and Daily Life in Córdoba
The Spanish Exchange Programme at Catholic University School offers students a vibrant and immersive opportunity to experience life in Córdoba, one of Spain’s most historic and culturally rich cities. Open to Transition Year and 5th Year Spanish students, this exchange deepens language learning through real-life experience.
During the exchange, CUS students stay with host families, attend classes with their Spanish exchange partners, and explore the rhythms of everyday life in Spain. From engaging with local traditions to improving conversational Spanish, students develop confidence, independence, and a meaningful connection to Spanish culture.
In return, CUS welcomes students from Córdoba to Dublin each autumn. Visiting students shadow their Irish hosts during school days and participate in a variety of cultural outings and experiences, further strengthening the cross-cultural bond.
This two-way exchange promotes language fluency, cultural understanding, and lasting international friendships—bringing classroom learning to life in the most authentic way.
