MS CA Exception Form

Microsoft 365 Student Access – Exception Request
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure digital learning environment, the school has introduced a new Conditional Access policy for all student Microsoft 365 accounts.
What this means:
- Students can only log in to Microsoft apps and services when they are connecting from within Ireland.
- Students travelling abroad will not be able to access school Microsoft resources.
- If a student is in Ireland but cannot log in, the most common cause is the use of a VPN, proxy, or similar service, which must be disabled before accessing their account.
Why we do this:
The safety of our systems and students is our top priority. Restricting logins to Ireland greatly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, misuse of accounts, and exposure to inappropriate or unsafe internet activity.
Exceptions
We understand there may be exceptional circumstances where a student genuinely requires access from outside Ireland (e.g. temporary travel related to family, school exchange programmes, or urgent personal reasons).
Parents/guardians may submit a request for review by completing the Exception Request Form below.
- Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Approval may not be guaranteed and will only be granted where appropriate.
- Processing time may take several working days, so please submit requests well in advance where possible.
