Marist Ethos

Living the Marist Ethos at Catholic University School

Guided by Humility, Simplicity, and Family Spirit to Build a Compassionate and Inclusive School Community

The Marist Ethos is at the heart of everything we do, shaping the way we teach, learn, and interact as a school community. Inspired by the values of humility, simplicity, and family spirit, the Marist way encourages us to treat one another with kindness, respect, and understanding. It reminds us to look out for those who may feel left out or vulnerable, and to approach all aspects of school life with a generous and compassionate heart. By following the example of Mary, we strive to create a caring environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Being part of a Marist school also means recognising the importance of service to others and working together for the good of all. Through daily actions, school events, and outreach activities such as our St Vincent de Paul Hamper Fund, we aim to live out our ethos by showing care for both our local community and the wider world. The Marist spirit encourages us to build strong relationships, promote peace, and always act with integrity. In doing so, we foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose that makes our school a welcoming and nurturing place for everyone.
