Monthly Marks System
Each class has a class head, a teacher who meets with the pupils on a daily basis and who monitors their personal and academic progress.
CUS operates a system of weekly marks which measures a pupil's effort in each subject. These marks are given each week by the class teacher to the class head. A student achieves a '6' if he is on task - completing homework and participating in class.
Students who receive '4' may be put on daily report.
In addition, students in 1st - 3rd year have tests every five/six weeks. A report is sent home to parents with the results of these tests and the weekly marks.
Transition Year students have module exams, which occur three times over the course of the academic year. A full report is sent to parents after these exams.
5th year students have two sets of full exams during the year, along with end of year summer exams. A full report is sent to parents after these exams.
There are two parent/teacher meetings each year for all year groups.
