Social Awareness

Social Awareness at CUS
Instilling a Sense of Responsibility, Empathy, and Active Citizenship
At Catholic University School, social awareness is a core part of our educational ethos. We believe that developing empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility in our students is just as important as academic achievement.
Through a wide range of initiatives, students are encouraged to engage with the world beyond the classroom and to make a positive impact in their communities. Whether supporting local charities, organising fundraising events, volunteering, or participating in global awareness campaigns, our students learn the value of service, solidarity, and justice.
Programmes such as the Amber Team, Ember Team, and Transition Year Social Action Projects provide meaningful opportunities for students to reflect on real-world issues and take purposeful action. Guided by our Catholic values, we aim to nurture young men who are not only informed, but inspired to lead with kindness and conscience.
At CUS, social awareness is more than a lesson—it’s a way of life.
